Phi phi island from bangkok?

hi i am visiting Thailand in a couple of months and plan to go to phi phi Island from either pattaya or bangkok i checked some of the airfares how come some are much cheaper than the others?? like airasia.com is only like 100 dollars roundtrip from Bangkok to phukett when some others are over 200 dollars??? aprreciated any help or suggestions ..thank u..
